First Thoughts...

The following is a "chicken or the the egg" type of query.
Is it possible to create art without incorporating design ?
Let's assume this is possible, we'll call it "non-thinking art" for the want of a better term. And, if this is possible, how does this style compare to designed art ? Are the two levels able to co-exist, and as an artist, is it possible to alternate according to mood ?
'Under the label 'design', we can subsume all kinds of transformations of nature in view of human needs: gastronomy, design of clothes, furniture, interiors and architecture, cars, airplanes, yachts and machines, and what have you. There is no doubt that we are dealing here with creations, but not every creation is art. Designers do not disclose an imaginary world, they add real products to the real world.'
